I discovered this video via 'Her Library Adventures'

My husband/brother/mother/and grandfather have tried to convince me to switch from hard back books to a kindle...

I tell them to same thing every time..kindle does not have the smell of a book, the adventures this book had been through, the creased pages, the coffee stains, the hard cover that is peeling from age..ect..

This video describes exactly why I do not have a kindle, why I prefer to go out and buy a real book..

Hey everyone, we just came back from a 4 day vacation..

Two days in New Hampshire (skiing, snow ball fights, ect..) I have never seen real snow..so this was a treat!!

Ladies of the blog world..through years of trial and error, research, and observation (I was majoring in Psychology before getting married..I love to study people) I have discovered a secret about men..

Men treat women entirely different ( and with a hell of a lot more respect) if she puts forth effort to actually look good, and dress like a 'lady'..(you think it would be common sense, but apparently not to most girls/women)
here are some examples of real ladies:

If you have not noticed, all the ladies have simple makeup; eyeliner, mascara, foundation, and red lips..

I have been doing my makeup (like the examples above) for 2 months now, and every man I have come across has complimented it.

This new makeup routine of mine only takes 4 minutes in the morning..and I usually put sponge rollers in my hair at night and wake up with beautiful curls..

It really is so easy for women to look beautiful, you just have to put in some effort..

I honestly believe there is NO reason for a women to look frumpy, when you can take 5 minutes of your morning to put on foundation, eyeliner, mascara, and red lipstick and look like a bombshell.

We handed out candy at the In-Laws house (which is a HUGE neighborhood with TONS of children)..

and I made sure to dress up..:)

Which was S0o0o0o easy..just some white eyeshadow,black liquid liner and red lipstick..

Hubby did not want to dress up...

I was craving something sweet..and we have nothing in the house at the moment that could satisfy my sweet tooth..

So I found a recipe online and Voila...sweet tooth cravings are subdued (for now at least) haha

I didnt have some of the ingredients, so I had to improvise...here is my version:

Honey, Yogurt, Oatmeal cookies:

1cup yogurt (I used greek yogurt)

1cup brown sugar

2tbs flax seed mixed with 6tbs water (sub. for eggs)

11/2cups whole wheat flour

1tsp baking soda

1tsp salt

3 cups oatmeal

1/2cup honey

mix all ingredients together

Bake on 350' for 10-12 mins..

and enjoy this yummy treat

First let me start off by saying...I have no clue how people find the motivation to write a blog post everyday..I highly admire that initiative..and really wish I had that determination..haha

None the less, I want to update you on a few things..

I unfortunately do not have any pictures for this post...but a brief update...Tropical Storm lee passed through us (Louisiana) and drowned everything..the winds were insane, the rain was insane...it was just horrible...and not to mention, the flipping humidity was agonizing..(I HATE humidity, I seriously can not even express how much I hate humidity)..I know, I know..Im asking for humidity by living in Louisiana..hahaha

T.S. Lee left us with a wonderful parting gift though...temps ranging from 60(in the mornings) and 80s(for the high)....IM IN HEAVEN!!!!!! I have a love affair with fall and winter...they make me sooo giddy and happy..infact, while I write this, I am enjoying 59degree temps, with all the windows open, blanket, coffee, (and spongebob playing in the background) hahaha This is one happy girl!!!

The hubby and I decided to take a romantic weekend trip to New Orleans...We acted like tourist, and read up on places that we had not been to before..
(just for some back ground info, we do not live far from New Orleans, and I stayed there for 2yrs awhile back..so I know that place very well) but its refreshing and fun to 'act' like a tourist and ACTUALLY discover something new about your 'home town'.....

(Let me start by saying I vow to start updating my blog...life is awesome and Im finally in the groove of married life and loving EVERY minute with my darling hubby..)

This weekend was a very interesting weekend..It started off rainy and dreary, so me and the Mr decided to get out of the house and entertain ourselves...We ended up going to 'Repticon' (which for those of you who are not familiar with this, it is a reptile convention)..also let me say, Im HIGHLY allergic to any cute cuddly furry animals..so this is the only compromise we can come up with for pets..haha

We ended up looking at baby turtles, Chameleons (which we owned one before), spiders (they give me the willies..haha) but finally settled on a sweet female milk snake...

I know most of you are probably completely grossed out...but I have been begging my hubby for one..and he finally agreed...:) Her name is Aries..and she is S0o0o0o sweet!!!!

Well after playing with Aries for awhile, we had to get ready for my cousins wedding...It was a very short and sweet wedding.

Shaking my booty on the dance floor

The wedding day seemed some what of a blur to me, I can barely even remember it..it was so surreal..but EVERYONE who came to the wedding raved about how beautiful it was and that 'you could feel the love in the air that day'..haha I love it!!!

We just got back from our honeymoon (we went on a cruise to 4 different countries.) I will post those pictures up very soon...

Well everyone was really excited and happy about the new news on my grandma, but unfortunately we are learning to take each day as they come...her health has become a roller coaster, its up one day, and down the next...so please keep her in your prayers...they are now expecting her to come out of ICU sometimes in December...which is really sad, this is the first holiday that we will not be able to spend with her...

As far as the wedding plans, they are pretty much on hold at the moment, all the big details are taken care of, but with out my mom here to guide and help me with everything (she is by my grandmothers side in Houston at the moment) things have gotten a bit difficult...

Well an update on my grandmother..she was pronounced dead Saturday night, by Sunday afternoon, she woke up and started moving around...Yeeiiippeee!!!! :D

apparently she survived 7 strokes while 'under'..so she is still recovering from the brain damage it had caused (but nothing serious, she has to go to therapy to re-learn some body movements)

anyways..its always shocking and amazing to hear a doctor say 'wow, it is a miracle she survived this'...:D

Please keep her in your prayers though, she is still not out of the hospital...

and thank you for your kind words and prayers, they are working..:D

A night from hell

Just got home about 3 hrs ago...me, my brother, and sister-in-law left at 12am for the hospital (that is located 2hrs from our city)..Our grandma was in ICU, and now is being transfered to Houston TX for heart surgery...the main arterary that leads to her heart has a giant tear in it...it an extremely risky surgery..but she is going to the best doctor..so hope is still there...keep her in your prayers...

As far as wedding curriculum..Im in the process of going through my registration and making sure everything is on there...(this is about the 100th time Ive gone through it..hahah)

A little over a year ago I quit posting on this blog...I was in a dark place at that moment in my life..but WOW have things changed since then..

I meet a wonderful man last October (17th) and we started dating...fell madly in love a few months later..and became engaged August 28th of this year...

February 12th 2o11 I will be a married woman...Im so excited..:D

Its so funny how life can take a complete and AWESOME turn for the better...

So this blog will now be the countdown to the wedding day...and our life together...YAY!!!

O0o0ohh dont worry darling, the ghost and goblins are really little children dressed in costumes..
(or in this case, little cute animals in costumes..hehe)I must tell you a secret...around fall, when all the leaves are changing, the smell of pumpkin pie (or apple pie) is in the air, the weather is nice a crisp (the crisp like freshly washed white sheets..hehe) the sky is a beautiful shade of blue (unlike any other season)...::sigh:: yes, when Fall comes around I turn into the happiest/giddiest little girl (woman) you will ever see..

something about that chill in the air, those beautiful red and orange leaves...pumpkin decorations...it makes my heart smile...

One thing I have always wished (even when I was a little bright-eyed girl) that I could live in a little town that has HUGE town festivals..(like the show Gilmore Girls..), where everyone knew each other, and we would have huge pie baking contest, hay rides.. or ghost hunts..ect..you know what I mean?? I think my little heart would burst with joy if I could ever live somewhere like that...haha

Speaking of Ghost Hunts...guess what is around the corner?? HALLOWEEN!!!! yay....perfect time to get out your ghoulish costumes, decorate your house, bake fresh goodies for the neighbors...

Have you ever had those times when you have no creative spirit and your stuck in a funk?? well thats how I've been..and I cant stand it..I even decided to try and cheer myself up by releasing balloons in to the air..and wouldnt you know, it went to the only tree around and wrapped around those branches for dear life...

so that seemed like a bust..haha and now Im in my room, wondering what can I do to get out of this funk?? my oh my..what should I do?? what do you do when you have this awful feeling?? I should go to the dollar store, get a HUGE tub of bubbles and blow my little lungs out with bubbles....but its 20something degrees outside...and then I want to go to the antique store and buy a beautiful vintage decor or surround myself in wonderful antiques that have great stories to tell..

Hey darlings...I must tell you quickly (Im wrapping gifts) about my WONDERFUL surprise..yyeeiippii...hehe so this morning I wake up and Im rushing to get ready so I can do last minute shopping for christmas (me and my immediate family are celebrating "our" christmas on sunday evening and then wednesday were celebrating with our HUGE family)..so I had to get my brothers gift and my dads gift..so Im rushing around like a mad women, so I could leave early for the mall, and hoping that I could avoid all the crazy crowds..well somewhere along the way, time slipped away from me, and I soon find that its 1pm..well now Im really rushing around..(side note: my BIGGEST pet peeve is being rushed) so Im starting to get really aggravated..well all of a sudden I hear the mail man, so I run to the door and grab the mail, wish him a wonderful day and then while shifting through bills and ads I came upon a WONDERFUL package, just the cutest thing ever... A PACKAGE from the wonderful Mrs. Vanessa..

so I hurriedly opened it..I mean c'mon..what a cute package, I knew what was coming..I was sooo excited..;p
AHHH..could it be?? Could it really be??YYYAAAYYY!!!! it is..so I hurriedly and excitedly opened it..(I felt like a kid on Christmas day..hehe)YIPPEE!!!!!! Its the magical ring I received from the drawing on Vanessa's blog, you can check it out..!!! she picked 3 names out, and the winners received either a doll house (very cute)..the second name drawn was, Miss Crumpet Dilly Spoonface (such a doll)..and the 3rd name drawn (ME!!!) received a ring..but not just any ring..a MAGICAL RING!! and not to mention the wonderful cards I received with it..take a look::Look how wonderful they are..I love it..oh my..Im in complete awe, because of the wonderful gift..thank you sooooo very much ms Vanessa..you are truly a wonderful friend!!!

Christmas weather..in louisiana?? WHAT??

Hello darling, so let me tell you about the unusual things going on in Louisiana..so as everyone may know, last week some winter weather decided to grace the south..well Im used to hearing Texas and the top of Louisiana (Shreveport*) getting snow, but in no way was I expecting Baton Rouge to get snowy weather..that was unbelievable..and not only did we get snow, we received 8inches of that wonderful white stuff..YAY...

But we were so happy..me and my parents were having snowball fights with the neighbors..haha and making snow angles..and then we decided to pullout a yard stick to measure the snow in my neighbors backyard, she doesn't have any trees in the backyard, so alot of snow was back there..and we measured up to 8inches of snowy bliss..how insane is that?? I love it..ohh and you wanna know the best part..my wonderful friend Collin was buried on Tuesday (when it was snowing..) so in my opinion (also to make myself feel better) I imagined that he brought the snow to us, kinda like saying hes ok..(yeah, Corny I know..but its comforting)..haha well I hope everyone has a wonderful time..Im going to do one more post before I leave (Im going to Disney world for Christmas with my family and my hunny..its going to be so much fun) and then Ill post pics from Disney..;p YAY!!!

Grief around the holidays..

Last night I was studying for finals, and getting so aggravated..when I got a call from Megan (my friend)..well I let it ring because I really had to study hard for this final..my phone alerted me to a message, so I listened and was in shock..she said "Hey girl, I know you were friends with Colin Campbell, so I figured you would know when his funeral is..so call me and tell me.."..I just starting sobbing uncontrolablly..and memories flooded my mind..
I started remembering how me and Colin would sit in gym class (he was a good friend of mine in high school) and we would have life talks, and pointless talks..he would make me laugh soo much..he was honestly (and Im not just saying this) the greatest friend anyone could ask for..
well I finally called Megan back (after calming down) and found out what happened..apparently he was going down the road and drifted over the middle line into the opposite lane and hit a Big truck head on..the other people are all fine, no injuries, but Colin was in critical condition and died on Sunday December 7...I know how much I miss him, and how much it honestly hurts to think that he is gone and never coming back...but I also keep thinking how hes parents and sisters have to feel..not only do they have to get over this shock, but it also happend around christmas time, which does not make this any easier..
well today I found out a little bit more about my dear sweet friend..not only was he the sweetest person while alive, but he is saving 4 peoples lives (while in heaven)..here is the story I found about him that proves my dear Colin Campbell is an angle:

Colin Michael Campbell
A resident of Denham Springs, Colin Michael Campbell, 20, passed away Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Through this he was able to save the lives of four people immediately with the donation of his organs. Though he was with us for only a short time, he will live on in our hearts and now in the lives of others for his love and generosity. Colin worked in flooring, but his true passion and work was as a musician/drummer with his band "Who By Fire," which recently recorded their first CD with Colin as drummer. He was also a talented writer of poetry and a lover of all animals. His care and love for all will be missed dearly. A memorial service will be held at Grace Believers Bible Church, 11020 Stanley Aubin Lane, on Thursday, Dec. 11, at 1 p.m., officiated by the Rev. Mark Rumfello. He is survived by his parents, Steve and Debra Campbell; two sisters who loved and adored him, Allison Allecia and Melissa Hope Campbell; two uncles, Jerry Wayne Campbell and Randy Cassady; aunt, Christine Marie Campbell Phillips; and many beloved cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Verl Calvin Cassady and Helen Ruth Cassady; paternal grandparents, Allie Harold Campbell Jr. and Jessie Christine Campbell; uncle, Ronald H. Campbell; and aunt, Terri Lynn Ewing. Arrangements by Seale Funeral Service Inc., Denham Springs.

Colin, you will be missed very much, and you were loved by many..R.I.P Collin

Happy Thanksgiving everyone..Hello darling, I hope you felled your tummy full today on turkey and other wonderful foods..I just got back home from my grandparents house (2 hours away from us, and out in the middle of the country)..it was a very nice thanksgiving lunch..but VERY different feel to it, because I have a large family (5uncles with at least 2-3 kids each)..so our holidays are always crazy and loud..with some very unusual but awesome people..:)

do you have unusual family?? Mine is very loud and festive..haha I love it though, I wouldn't want it any other way..

But so this holiday was very strange to me, because EVERYONE decided to visit there in-laws (which is only fair because everybody meets up with our family EVERY holiday) so were at my grandparents with only 5 people..but again, very lovely lunch..

hehe..sexy huh?? (I found this on google, and it made me laugh)

but we had a LARGE turkey, and green beans, and stuffing, and all the usual turkey day foods..but the one thing I LOVE LOVE LOVE that my grandmother makes, is sweet potato pie..YUUMMYY!!! it honestly is the highlight of holidays for me..haha

Is there a favorite food that you make/or have for the holidays?? I would love to get ideas on what to cook for thanksgiving..:)

Im thankful for my wonderful family and friends, and of course for all my friends on here, you are absolutely wonderful!!! and Im thankful for my wonderful man, and everything that I have been blessed with in my life!!!

Magical Afternoon...

Hello darling, first of all..I want to thank EVERYONE who visited my Halloween party..everyone was soooo sweet!!! Thank you for all the wonderful compliments..you really put me in the Halloween spooky mood..;p But I must tell you about the wonderful day today...I woke up to a Dreamy state of mind..I walked outside and looked up at the cloudy sky's....
and cooler weather (well cooler weather, compared to what it has been)haha...

well I decided to make a cup of peppermint tea (YUMMY!!)

and then I heard a song from outside..a kind of beautiful, eerie song..and I wonderful force was pulling me outside...I grabbed my tea and decided it was time for a fall adventure..

But I needed to find the magical key to unlock the "dreamy vision outside" (you see, they have "Normal keys" that lead to a "Normal destination", so I needed to find my "Magical Key" that leads to a "Magical destination"...hehe)YAY..I found the Magical key..now were off..I wanted to visit my beautiful secret cove...so as I walked in the dreamy state...As I kept walking, I realized even the trees are a little eerie looking..wouldn't you agree??Everything is just screaming HALLOWEEN (at least to me..)!!!Now I have to admit, I have something in common with one of my favorite bloggers..Ms. Vanessa..we both seem to have a fascination with fungi and baby moss..I found this beautiful green baby moss in between my stepping stones..I love it..I can't help but to smile when I see little green patches of moss..:)

So I finally made it to my secret cove, and relaxed with my wonderful tea and just admired the beautiful eerie look of today..ohh I must show you, we have an orange tree in the back yard, and they aren't really ready to eat yet, but I thought it was really cool looking..and the oranges are so heavy and full, that one of the branches looks like its just gonna fall over with fullness..isn't it lovely?? ok darling, well Halloween is only a week away, and Im obnoxiously excited about it..haha I have some last min. altering to do to my costume..it looks somewhat like this (minus the GIANT crown and gold embellishment..haha)

Hello darling, Im sooo very sorry its been soo long since Ive written to you, I have been so busy this week with school..so many test and paper due..Im so very sorry..ohh and I have some bad news, im not gonna have the surprise anytime soon..ill just let you in on the surprise because you will not be angry at me for not having it soon..;p Im making some awesome pottery in my pottery class, and I wanted to give a piece away, so Ive been working really hard at making it really pretty (this is the first time in my life that Ive EVER made pottery).. so Ive been working at it, re-doing it, and working on it some more..so we were supposed to glaze them, but my school still has not sent our class the glazes, so were just waiting around for the glazes to finish our pottery..so I swear I will still give one away, but I have no clue how long it will take, depends on my school..so I swear I did not forget, in fact it has been driving me nuts..haha but enough about that..I hope everyone is doing great, and getting in the Halloween spirit, I know I am..I bought a pair of orange and black stripped socks..I love them..they look something like these..

and I have been wearing them around like a little girl..haha (talk about get some stares..haha)..Speaking of all things HALLOWEEN, one of my favorite blogger, is hosting a Halloween party..you should definitely check it out..

ohh before I forget..I have something to tell you..Ive been working on another little project, my very own "HowTo" website..right now I just have a video of how to style bangs, but Im going to put up alot of videos on how to do makeup correctly (Ive been in MaryKay cosmetics for 7 years now, and I grew up around makeup my whole life) so I know some tips and tricks..and after watching videos of girls pulling out eyelashes, and damaging hair, I decided it was my turn to give tips on doing makeup and hair (with out the damage..haha) so you can check me out on there too..ok so now that all of that is said..how was your week?? anything exciting happen while I was gone?? unusual maybe?? well today was one of those days where somethings happen and makes you feel insignificant..you know what I mean?? for example, I was driving to school early this morning (and I was late for class) and Im going down the street in downtown, when I looked over and saw a homeless man (not unusual to see in downtown) but when I really looked at him, he was walking fast and had his hands across his face, crying...it broke me heart, I actually teared up when I saw that..but I couldnt do anyting at that moment (I was down a one way street, that is super long) so reluctantly I had to keep driving..then it made me think, "Wow..there are so many problems in this world, I have NOTHING to complain about..so what that I have a tummy ache, so what that Im late, so what that Im having a bad hair day..there are people out there with serious problems.." so after feeling so guilty for not stopping and maybe giving him a hug, or just talk to him, I went to class, and we didnt even have class because our glazes are not in yet..haha so I just went home, and now Im here telling you all about it..so what would you have done?? would you have stopped?? given him a hug?? or just talk to him?? or would you have just given money?? I hate that I havent done something, I know I should have..but I have to stop beating my self up about it..so thats what I meant by insignificant feeling..so anyways, on a happy note, my darling little squirrel is going to be free in a week..Ohhh my goodness, what am I going to do with out my new little pet?? but he will do soo good in the real world..and Im kind of relived to let him be free..he seems to LOVE to chew on WIRES..ohh yeah, you heard me right, live wires..my lights, my laptop charger, EVERYTHING..its horrible, so he will have lots to chew on when he is released..but he will be missed..haha ok, I just found this picture on google, it is the cutest thing I have EVER seen...

Well hello darlings..sorry it has been so long since I last spoke to you..wont you sit and have a cup of coffee...or pumpkin spice tea.. (reminds me of fall, which I love sooooo very much..found this pic. on google)

OK, so I want to hear all about what you have been doing while I was gone..did you have parties, did you make new beautiful art?? or did you relax and enjoy some cake or tea?? well let me tell you about what I have been up to for the last 2 weeks...It has been crazy over here..We are recovering from hurricane Gustav which roared through us and tore up the baton rouge area..brought down many trees, tore off alot of roofs, and just caused ALOT of trouble out here..Ill show you some pictures of the TALL lanky pine tree that came tumbling down on our roof..

ohhhh..yeah, you see how close it is to my car right??well can you see how close from this angle??? well we were VERY VERY lucky that it landed on our garage instead our actual house, but thank God we have that brick column, it held up the tree, and prevented it from crushing both cars under the garage..but one really good thing that came from this (actually two really good things)...(this is Gabby, which is Noels sister..and that is Gustav on top of her head..) AAANNNDDD...this is Ike..my darling..(dont worry, Im not gonna keep him locked up forever..hes learning how to jump right now, so in a couple of weeks, Im going to set this little man free)

But is was the strangest thing..one of them was in a puddle of water, under my car..and my neighbor heard something squeaking so she ran over and looked under my car, and saw a little squirrel..drenched, cold, and scared...he looked into her eyes for a few mins, and then ran up her arm and she ran to our door and gave him to us...(that was Gustav)..now the story of Ike..my brother was in the back yard looking at the tree that fell..(he is 6'4'') a very tall guy..and he was a baby squirrel running towards him, so he bent down and put out hes hand..after about 3 mins..the squirrel did the same thing..he just ran up my brothers arm and unto his shoulder..so he gave Ike to me..and now Im taking care of the little darling, until hes completely ready to go into the wild...hes finally getting enough confidence to explore and run up things, and yesterday he started jumping..which is a wonderful sign..so that is the story of the wonderful little gifts that we received from such a horrible storm..:)
Ohh..let me tell you about my art day...sooo..last Saturday (while our electricity was still out, yeah..it was out for a week) we went to the LSU museum of art, and I found some awesome paintings..let me show you a few (I caught a few of this lovely paintings, before the security guard started yelling at me..haha)..this was my favorite piece..

Dont you just love them??? ohh the last on, with the clock ::right above:: is actually a 3d art, but I couldn't capture that with my camera..but I fell in love with all of those beautiful pieces of art..

Speaking of things that I love love love...Im sooo obnoxiously excited that fall is right around the corner..the crisp breeze, the changing colored leaves, the warm clothes, the pumpkin pies..apple pies..ohh and one of the most fantastic holidays ever..HALLOWEEN!!!!! YAYAYAYAYAY!!! don't you absolutly love fall?? or are you more of a spring type, or maybe summer??? Im a fall, and winter person, myself...;p but one thing I fell head over heels with was...the fall issue of CountryHome magazine..it had Martha Stewart halloween decorations..it was sooo beautiful, and spooookkkyyyy...

ohhh doesn't this put you in the halloween mood??? I want to watch scary movies now..hhmm...I found this great website that has all kind of scary movies to watch on halloween..check it out...I have to watch a movie (I've never seen, or even heard of before now) its called "Suspiria"..have you seen it, is it worth watching?? do you want to know something soo funny?? I love love love watching scary movies, but I hate that I get soo scared afterwards..you see, I have a WILD imagination..I swear that I seen someone in the hall, or I heard something from the closet..ect..you know what I mean?? WILD..haha but some of my all time favorite classic Halloween movies are...

Bonjour lovely's...I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend..mine was pretty good, my darling came to visit me and it was wonderful..I made some cupcakes, RED VELVET cupcakes..

ohh don't they look beautiful?? that beautiful red color..I absolutely feel in love with this gorgeous red color...Don't you just love that color?? I wish I could just capture it in a jar and preserve it forever..just so I can stand in awe of this color...I must sound so weird, but it absolutely took my breath away when I saw this color...you know what I mean?

But ohhh my, when I put the cream cheese frosting...OOOHHHH..it was divine!!!

Hello darlings, sit down and let me tell you about the very interesting week I have had...many tears have fallen...

some lives have passed, and a new life was born..if you have read my post below, you would know that my mom had shattered nerves in her shoulder from an accident 2 years ago, well they finally decided to give her an epidural steroid shot in her back to help with the pain (the shot was given Thursday august 14th) and she felt better later thursday..but thursday night she was feeling a little funky, she said her left side of the body was a little numb and she felt pressure on her lungs, but she didn't think it was bad enough to go check it out (my mom is a very hard headed,and pain tolerant woman.) so she dealt with it, but each day that passed she felt worse and the breathing became harder for her..well her doctors office was closed on the weekend so she just "dealt" with the discomfort..(ohh the doctors office did call her Friday night to ask how she was feeling, just to check on her after the surgery, and she told them that she didnt feel to well, and they told her to wait till Monday and then come back to talk to the doctor) but Sunday night was getting really bad for her and she was in ALOT of pain, by this time, she had a horrible pain in her back and her lungs hurt...well Monday was my first day of classes again, and I got out of school at 10am, and I called my mom to see how she was feeling...well my dad picked up and told me to get home as soon as possible, because I need to bring her to the emergency room...

(my dad was in an accident about 15 years ago that almost completely blinded him, he sees "partially" out of one eye..and blind in the other eye..and from a drunk driver hitting him, but that's a story for another time)

so he couldn't bring her to the hospital..so I rushed home and picked up my mom and dad..she couldn't even talk, because she had no oxygen and could barely breath..so we went to the hospital (usually you would wait 2 hours to get into the emergency beds..) and they checked her blood pressure, then oxygen level..then ran to the back grabbed an oxygen tank and hooked her up..immediately brought her to an emergency bed..well were freaking out, wondering whats wrong with her...the nurses started all kind of test on her..well after one hour on the oxygen machine, she was looking MUCH better, the swelling in her face was gone, and she had color back in her skin..and she could breath again..but still had horrible pains in her lungs and back..well after 3 hours passed and some test done, they still had no clue what was going on with her..and then a nurse ran down the hall screaming "CODE BLUE" "CODE BLUE"...and every nurse and doctor ran to the room 2 doors from us..we heard alot of commotion going on in there..well later we found out that the man 2 doors down from us died while trying to be revived..but our head nurse wouldnt be back for at least 3 hours because while trying to revive him, blood went EVERYWHERE, and she was covered in it..so she had to pull her self together, and get cleaned up..and then another code blue was being yelled down the hallway..apparently a man came in, heart attack, and he died too...so that was kinda traumatic...but the doctors ended up doing around 6 test on my mom, and still had no clue whats wrong..and then around 11pm (yes, we arrived at the hospital at 10am, and she actually didnt get out of emergency room until 3am..17 hours in the emergency room) the doctors ordered an emergency MRI test, well they found out that she has a hematoma pressing on her spinal cord, and lungs..(hints the pain in the back, and the loss of oxygen) well this is EXTREMELY rare..that she would get a hematoma from and epidural shot..so they had to call many doctors (about 15 doctors called, and found ONE doctor who knew how to handle it)..well she was finally transferred from emergency room to neuromedical room..and stayed there for 2 days..they released her today because she's breathing better..they have her on steroids and hoping that the hematoma will be dissolved into the body, but we have to watch her carefully and make sure that she is breathing good, and not running fever or anything like that..so she's doing better, but please keep her in your prayers..please, she still needs alot of prayers to get through this...But we found out that our good friend Jackie had her baby while we were in the emergency room..The little boy came out very healthy and Jackie is doing good too..(what is really odd though, we found out that around the same time the man down the hallway lost his life, Jackies little boy was born.) But experience also made me realize that I want to become an E.R. Nurse, and save lives..I was thinking of becoming a nurse (awhile back) but all the nurse's I have ever seen worked in a quite environment, and handed out medications, and cleaned up the patient..but honestly that is not what I want to do..I want to help people, but not that type of nursing..you know what I mean?? the atmosphere of the E.R. is more of my type of atmosphere..well after I seen the nurses in the E.R. I knew that I would like this nursing field..so if any one is an E.R. nurse, or knows someone, please give me information about that field..(online research can only give you so much info)!! but on a brighter note, I started classes again, and Im taking a pottery class, and Im sooooo excited about it..I bought all my materials already and I can not wait to start!!! my other classes are good too..Im actually enjoying this semester, and praying that it stays that way..but I have to wake up at 5am and get ready for my pottery class, so Im going to sleep..please keep my mom in your prayers, she needs as many prayers as possible..thank you so much and have a good night..au revoir

G00d morning darlings...so I must update you on my darling mommy..she is recovering from the shots (that went in her neck..yyiieekk) pretty well, still has pain from where the shots went in, but she is taking it easy now and resting like a Queen.. we have been watching movies like Nims Island..Gone with the Wind..(my ultimate favorite movie)

And the wonderful Nanny Mcphee..and we have been pigging out on yummy chocolate...Do you want a piece darling?? Go ahead, take a piece..I adore chocolate..Im a self proclaimed chocoholic..hehe how about you, are you a chocoholic too??;pYesterday I had a WONDERFUL surprise at my door..A PACKAGE..from the darling Mrs Kathy, you MUST check out her wonderful blog..so many beautiful pictures, and wonderful crafts that she puts together...it really is a must see!! Soooo yesterday I was cooking a recipe from Gourmet Momma (another must see blog) and the door bell rung..so I rannnn to the door, excited to see who was there..I was being sneaky though, and peaking through the peak hole in the door..and to my surprise, no one was there...was it my imagination??Noo..I know I heard the doorbell, was it fairy's playing tricks on me?? you know, those fairy's are very mischievous and tricky little creatures..so I opened the giant wooden door...and there it was..so wonderful, so very wonderful..A PACKAGE!!! YYYIIEEEPPEE!!! ( I Love love love surprises)

Hello lovely's...I must tell you about my bad luck day that turned out so relaxing..well as you know (from the blog post below) that my my white sheets were miraculously clean, and smelled wonderful..well this morning I did one of the many things that make me happy(read post below)..I grabbed a cup of coffe, went to my beautiful, clean bed and layed down in ultimate comfort..then after a few sips of lovely french vanilla coffe (with Irish Cream) and really starting to wake up...

my dear mommy walked in to greet me good morning, when I went to hug her I knocked my coffee cup and HOT coffee went splashing ALL over me and my pristine sheets..well I definitely woke up fast..jumping out of bed and running like a crazy lady to grab something to get the hot coffee of me and my sheets..well then I was a little perturbed by that..I ripped my sheets of the bed and had to wash them AGAIN..well I tried to calm down a little and realized how sore my neck was (Im talking about that sore where it hurts to move) and keep wondering if I slept wrong or what..then I remembered last night I tried to do yoga (haven't done yoga in a least a year) and I started off with a "Beginners" yoga..HAHAHAHAHA beginners my ass (*excuse my french please*)..the woman on the dvd went into corpse pose, which is sooo relaxing and easy..then grabbed one leg and started stretching it above her while laying on her back, well Im not that limber, so my legs were bent slightly, then she took her leg and put it ALL THE WAY behind her head..it was the craziest thing I have EVER seen..so again..beginners, my ass..so after attempting a lot of those crazy moves in the dvd for "beginners", I woke up soo very sore from that.. so today did not start off to well, but I was trying to be optimistic and forget about my bad luck morning..so lunch time came around, and I was home alone..so I started cooking chicken pasta..well I was cooking (Im not trying to brag, but I have really good cooking skills from my mom, and take pride in my cooking)and while I was letting the chicken cook in the skillet, and the pasta cool off, and the sauce on low...

I heard someone pull up, I went outside and it was my uncle, so I talked to him for about 20 mins outside and then I heard sizzling (I was outside and could hear it coming from inside my house) so I ran inside, and the whole house was smokey, the chicken was completely burnt on the bottom, I was so upset, then I checked the sauce, and most of it was stuck on the bottom...well I have NEVER burnt anything before..and I was sooo upset at that point..so I scrapped off the burnt part of chicken and poured some sauce over my noodles..and it wasn't that bad..haha but I was still very upset that all this was going on..Have you ever had one of those days that is just ultimately clumsy day for you?? well I haven't had one in a loooong time, and so this day took me by surprise and rattled my nerves soo bad...so I went to my room to relax (its my sanctuary) and a corner of my room was a complete disaster..Art stuff EVERYWHERE..I mean 3 bags full of art supplies, sketch books everywhere, my carrying case was a disaster, pencils scattered..so I bought some clear plastic drawers and organized everything..it looks so clean now..I love it..and then repainted my little table (on the side of my bed)..and then started getting ready for my date night (my mom and I got out every Thursday, shopping or eating out..just to catch up with each other..)

We went to On The Boarder Mexican cuisine..so good..and then to the town center and shopped at Kirkland's home decor...ohh my, I could live in there..I love is sooo much!! Don't you just love walking into that store and seeing all the beautiful decor?? So after walking around town center in 100 degree heat, we needed something to drink, and bad...crossed the street to

Book-a-Million and stayed there for 2 hours looking through all home decor magazines..that cheered me up sooo much, like country home, vogue, town and country, country french..ect..

Then we came home, and I couldn't move my neck, I had a HUGE knot in my shoulder..hard as a rock..so I poured a HOT bubble bath (I haven't taken a bubble bath in months..)and put on french music..and stayed there for almost 2 hours...soooooo relaxing..I was in heaven..Then I went to my room and decided to keep the french style going..and watched some of my Bridgette bardot collection dvds..which I love so much..makes me want to be in Paris at that very moment..and then one of my favorite movies, and actresses..Mrs Elizabeth Taylor in...

"The Last Time I Saw Paris"..very good movie..romantic..but I must tell you, if you love oldies music (french) than listen to Edith Piaf..So wonderful...I promise you will LOVE it..ok darling, well Im absolutely exhausted, and going visit Paris..in my dreams..au revoir

Simple Pleasures that make me happy..

So yesterday I was sitting in my completely stripped down bed..(covers, sheets, pillows, and everything besides the mattress was off my bed) in my long pink and grey socks, relaxing after a very hardworking hour, absolutely exhausted (Im not a creature who enjoys activities that make me hot and sweaty) so I lay in the barren bed, catching my breath, and trying to relax over a nice hot cup of vanilla tea (I'm also weird in the way I always drink a very hot beverage, when its very hot outside..I dont want ice cream or cold iced tea..I want hot coffee or hot tea..hehe) but let me rewind to the events that made this blog..so discovery channel made me paranoid that I have bed bugs or dust mites everywhere..so I stripped down my bed because it needed a good wash, then I vacuumed my mattress, bought a plastic cover to put over my mattress, and then did a good cleaning on my room..well after fighting with our vacuum cleaner that weighs at least 10 pounds and cleaning up my corner of the room with art supplies EVERYWHERE...I decided to hit the closet..OHHH myyy..what did I get myself into?? I situated all 30 pairs of my shoes (C'mon..does one girl really need that many shoes??) and you know what..I was looking at these awesome pair of shoes and thinking that I NEEDED them..can you believe that they are made from crepe paper?? but after cleaning every thing in my room..and fixing my bed up again..I slipped into my clean sheets (that smelled like lavender..::swoon::) and realized how happy and giggly this made me.. and then I started thinking of all the little things that just make me smile, and fill my heart with joy..For example, the thing that makes me so happy EVERY day is, I wake up in my bed with the beautiful lights on that are behind my bed..

then fixing a cup of coffee with Irish cream: (I found this photo online, go check out the website..he makes espresso art, very cool)

then I lay down in my bed again, with a cup of coffee..open my roman blinds and let the sun shine onto me..It one of the greatest feelings..to just sit and bask in beautiful sun light, while sipping on wonderful coffee..in bed..aaahhh...so relaxing..doesn't that just sound like a wonderful morning?? and I do it every morning..so Im relaxed during the day..so thats my simple pleasures in the morning, that keep me going all day long..

Hello darling..I finally have had the time to sit down and write out this blog..its been super crazy..(read blog post below)..so my parents went to Natchitoches Louisiana and I finally downloaded the pictures of where they stayed..ohh and I also put a few drawings of mine (alot are half in progress)hehe..so enjoy!! ;p

Im sooo very sorry for not posting the pictures up like I said I would..I got home on Thursday and found out that our brand-new computer is not working anymore, our Wii system is not working anymore and we have no Internet through out the house (so I could not use my laptop)..all from one storm..and we have surge protectors..so who knows...but our new computer is fine now, were still working on the Wii system, and well now I have Internet..YYEEPPIIEEE!!! Im just updating everyone on why I have not put the wonderful pictures up yet..but my brother has stopped by just know to visit so I promise (if all goes well) that I will update the blog tonight and show you the wonderful pictures of the beautiful mansion my parents stayed in, and the room they had was called the "Library Room"..how awesome is that?? a full wall was a library..that makes my heart sooo very happy to think of that, it just sounds romantic..doesn't it?? well off I go, I will be back..::terminator voice:: hehe

Ps: I will leave you with a little short story about something that I love love love...Have you ever had the pleasure of watching Dharma and Greg?? I must admit I am absolutely in love with that show..well it stopped airing on television (and I was so sad about that) but I bought all the seasons on dvd and stayed up till 4am this morning watching half of the dvds..haha but honestly the reason I love the show so much is because it makes me want to be a better person..shes so goofy and fun, but so forgiving and loving and of course hippie'ish..which I love so much!! but honestly if you have never seen it, watch a few episodes online or something..its a goofy lighthearted show..well have a lovely day..I will be back tonight to show you my new drawings that I have done while my Internet is down..its funny how much I will accomplish when I do not have Internet..hhmm!!! au revoir

fun week in New Orleans..

Hello darlings, sorry I have been away for a looooong time, but I have some great post coming soon..I felt really bad for abandoning every one, so I thought that I should check in and let you know of some things that's been keeping me away for awhile...my parents decided to go to Natchitoches, Louisiana to spend some well deserved alone time together..(I haven't seem the pictures yet, but thanks to Google I can give you a glimpse of what they seen)

and I promise when I seem them I will show you all the beautiful pictures of this place..my mommy wants to take me there for our "girls night out" (every Thursday me and my mom get together and do something together..either shop, go see a movie or travel for a day..girls only)haha its so much fun!! So while they were gone, I was staying with my darling man, in New Orleans..it was quit an eventful week (we usually do nothing but eat out and then watch movies, because we think we have been every where in New Orleans already..)well we were so WRONG!!! First we went out on a "date night" (because I was upset, and he wanted me to feel better..it was so sweet and cute) so we got dressed up (sorry no pictures, my parents had the camera) but it was soo funny because the first thing that came to mind was a blogger friend of mine, who has one of the most interesting blogs i have ever read..you must visit her blog..but anyways, we got all dressed up for each other and then went to this cute little cafe (think Aladdin sorts) it was so awesome looking..so were eating pasta's and talking and laughing..then all of a sudden I look up at something that startled me..the clouds outside were BLACK...I mean horribly mean looking clouds..then the lightening went basurk and nonstop flashes every where..I was actually getting a little freaked out..then the rain kicked in and it was so strong that you couldn't see past the door anymore..some poor woman came in with an umbrella and it flipped inside out on her..she was soaking wet by the time she managed to open the door...so we stayed cozy and safe inside the cute cafe..ordering brownie Sundays and turtle cheesecake (no turtles were harmed in the making) MMMmmmm...so delicious..I wish I saved some for you, but honestly I couldn't..it was that good..I didn't want to stop eating it..haha (picture found on Google)

So we waited till the storm rolled over and then decided to continue the night with friends at a famous place in New Orleans, Rock n' Bowl..it has been featured on travel channel and is known all over for its unique bowling alley...Live music..and cheap food and beer..I haven't been bowling in over 6 years and I was so happy that we decided to actually go out and have some fun with friends..I was on a roll with bowling too..I keep getting either gutter balls or knocking down 9 pins..haha it was so much fun though..(I promise to put pictures of that in my next blog post)..

The next day we decided to hit up the french quarter and look at all the unique stores that we never really payed attention too..You can find some of the most beautiful and unique nick-knacks..from antiques to paintings to weird art..I'm going to take my camera next time and show you the wonderful places..I promise!!! Then it was soo hot (heat index around 107) it literally sucked the energy from us..so we left and came back to the house to watch ...."P.S. I love you"I honestly have NEVER cried soo much during a movie..it really makes you appreciate the ones that you love..such a touching movie..(I'm a weirdo over endings, it has to be PERFECT for me to like it..) but I didn't quit like the ending so much..but its a movie that will be on my shelf soon enough..;p So after many tears and hugging my darling and hoping that nothing bad ever happens to him..we decided to watch another movie (one I have seen before, but not him) so I begged that we see this movie..Its so cute and like all movies that I love ever so much its a twisted fairytale..but for those of you that have seen this movie, don't you absolutely LOVE her room??? I'm head over heels in love with her room..and vowed that when I have my own house, the attic (or a room) will be a fairytale room..fake trees, fake grass, birds everywhere..swing in the room..pure magic..yep..

The next day my darling had to work then go to the gym..well I wanted to surprise him with a yummy meal when he came back..so I went to target and did some shopping..I got back (he was already home) and cooked some broccoli and cheese rice..he cooked some very spicy chicken (so good) and then we threw that together and had a healthy dinner...

And for dessert I made..German Chocolate cake with coconut and pecan icing...so yummy!!! (by the way I have a well known talent for baking..) not to brag or anything..;p

Well I better be off now..going cook dinner..don't know what though..I may get some ideas from my favorite food blogger..Gourmet momma..have a wonderful Wednesday..

PS: I have a few pictures that I have finished painting and coloring..and bringing to life..when I get home tomorrow I will post them up and show the lovely girls off..adios

hello darling's..so this may be a short post, but I was just wondering if any of you lovely people are like me..around 10pm your up, watching tv (Im watching Jaws 2 right now..hehe) and all of a sudden have that overwhelming craving for food.(almost like Jaws had for preteens..hehe)...well I have always been told that eating after 8pm was bad news for thighs and tummy (especially for a woman) so I always second guess if I should eat or not..but its a craving that only gets stronger as the min.'s pass, and after trying to fight it for an hour, you give in..go to your refrigerator, and have noooooo clue what to eat..but you know you need something..well, I came across this blog, and absolutely feel in love with it..I looked for a recipe that would satisfy my overwhelming craving for food..real food..and after looking, and looking, and looking some more (so many awesome recipes) and I finally found one from gourmet momma ...that special recipe that would calm the hungry monster in my stomach..

Doesn't this look absolutely divine?? Mustard Chicken..and it's a 15min meal..can you believe that??well you definitely need to check out this website..its so awesome..she has a couple of 15min meals, vegetarian meals, meat meals...desserts..EVERYTHING!!! I absolutely fell in love with it, and I think you will too..for those busy moms or dads (or just hungry people at 10pm)who need to whip up a dinner, and can not think of anything to cook..just look at this website for inspiration..all of the food pictures looks like you can just reach in and take a delicious bit out of it..hehe take a look at it, and if you like to cook (which I love to cook) then whip out those fabulous ingredients and the beautiful spices..and get to cooking..and most important..have fun!! well Im going to finish watching Jaws 2..Im at the part where mike (the son) and his friends almost got eaten while sailing to the light house..00oo kinda scary..makes me think twice about going to ocean..(when I was around 12 I watched the movie, and since then I have ALWAYS been so scared to even swim in the deep part of the pool)haha well on that note, Im going to finish watching this..adios darlings..

Hello again, have I got a story to tell you (one of my tall-tales)...would you like a cookie, or maybe some ice tea?? You may as well, its going to be a loong post..;p
So I have been left alone for 4 days now, and if anybody knows me, you would think "oh my, kristin must be in heaven, lounging around and reading books of all sorts"...well normaly yes, I would love to be in a house by myself for so long, but this particular time..well...I feel as if Im losing my mind!!! It is so quite (that you hear every noise) in this big house and its literaly driving me insane..and not to mention Im on medication right now for my stomach (I had a stomach virus for 6 days now)..so I blame the medication for my insane adventures..(also blame boredom)!!!
Anyways, will you join me and take an adventure into the mysterious, beautiful garden(think alice in wonderland)..but this is called garden of delusions..(its a tricky little garden, plays mind games with you, and is made up of many little gardens also)...but before our journey could begin we have to get by the fercous tiger...Lets try to tame the tiger of "rock garden"..she is a fericious beast but I knew with my tender words ("please dont eat me..") and nice rub, she would let me pass...."lets run".. (thats mittens by the way, my darling little girl with an attitude)heheBut the tiger was not the only thing we had to worry about..The clouds were having a bad day..and were not happy at all..they threatend by loud grumbaling..Scary looking clouds..it looks they are swollowing up the light..but lets continue please, we have to hurry!!ok, so the secret to getting around in the garden is to rely on the creatures that live in it (they know all the tricks that it plays, so they can help us get through safely)!!First lets call on the birds that live in the condo (I call it the beach condo, we have 3 bird houses, that are very different from each other, you will see below..but dont you think that it looks like a little condo you would find on the beachs of Florida??)this one is the haunted mansion (it was painted years ago, and the weather aged it creepily)haha..but anyways, we can ask the magical birds of the haunted mansion..see if they guide us through the strange gardens..well we have reached the the secret cove..(I love to have coffee in the mornings out here..beautiful) So the birds have guided us to the secret cove, safely..do you want to rest up for a couple of seconds?? ok, take a breather..(Im exhausted, if you dont mind, I will sit down at the table for a bit)..ohh..well maybe I will not sit for awhile, seems ghost have taken over and had a ghostly tea party (and with out inviting us..uugghh) well lets hurry up, and leave the cove, Im getting a little scared..so lets ask the birds in this little house (its called the lime house, because a fat lime tree grows right infront, thats the tree your looking at right now..would you like a lime for the long advernture that we have left?? ohh please take one..)

ohhh my, these birds are no help what so ever..to busy eating to help us out..my ohh my..what are we going to do?? we can not survive in this strage garden with out the creatures to help us..what do You think we should do??

ask fern you say??(the little girl who sits a top that plant, I know its not really a fern..but thats her name)...or maybe..

the magical ball?? yes..I think we are better off asking the magical ball...what does it say?? "Follow you'r heart"?? ohh, well come on, lets follow our hearts...

ohh this is a wonderful find..its a swimming pool for the shroom people..that means we must be close..!! have you ever seen shroom people before?? they are so tiney and cute!!

ohh please watch where you step, so many creatures are living around here..YAY..we found the shroom people..little tiney people that live inside these funny looking mushrooms..aren't they adorable??ohhh ...what was that noise?? I can not quit hear it..do you?? well an old wives tell says that if you pick an elephant ear, you will have hearing as they do..do you belive it?? well I dont have real elephants (and I would not harm it like that if I did have one..haha) so we can use the elephant ear plants..(I actually dont know if they are called elephant ears..but they remind me of elephant ears..dont you agree??) well lets pick them..and see..ohh WOW!!! I can hear almost everything..the birds talking amongst each other..and the little shroom people thanking us for looking out for them..hehe but wait..I hear soemthing else too..sounds like alot of talking..but far away..lets go explore shall we?? your not afraid are you?? good, maybe you could help me not be afraid..Lets ask this beutiful flower if she could help us follow that sound..(doesnt it remind you of a flower from alice in wonderland?? one of the talking ones?? how fun!!) well she says that we need to go see the gate keeper, to find out where those noises and voices are coming from..lets go see the gate keeper!!off on the little path..are you ready to see her??ohh my, this is the gatekeeper...this the THE gate keeper..are you excited?? I know I am..ok well lets ask her where those noises are coming from..do you want to ask her?? ok darling..so what did she say?? could you understand her?? ohh you say, she gave us access to open the gate?? ohh she must really like you..did you charm her, or are you just exceptional with words??..ok, well off we go now..thank you mrs. gatekeeper..are you ready for this adventure?? to see what wonders are behind the gate?? the noises are louder around here..well off we go then..Lets open the gate...and see what we find!!OHHH MY!!! its the magical forest of fairytales...this is where little red riding hood went missing, and where hansel and gretal met with the gingerbread house...and where repunzal let down her hair..ohh can you hear them..do you hear the trees?? they have so many wonderful stories..but do not be tricked..we shall not wonder in this forest..it is not a good forest..the tress are alive, and do not like introdures (read Grimms fairytales, and you will get the true information on what happend to these beloved fairytales people..nothing like what Disney protrays)..so lets not become the next meal for the gingerbread witch..come on..lets get out of here...OHH no, the road has changed..its the road to nowhere...how do we get out?? do you remember?? ohh good idea, we will ask the tree of many flowers (it has some of the best smelling flowers during spring time, and such beautiful colors)!! ok, so you say that we have to find the path again..and the wise tiger will guide us back home?? ohh thank you!! ohh you are wonderful for finding this path..very wise, you are!! Lets see if we can find the wise (ferocous) tiger..ohh I see red feet prints..could the wise "tiger" be wearing shoes now?? ohh no..thats our feet print from before..ohh you are good..you lead us right back!! now where is that darn cat..ohh I mean, tiger..

There she is..she wants to wish us well..and asking if we had fun on our crazy adventure, encountering amazing creatures, and talking trees, and lively flowers..if we had tea with the ghost or talked to the birds..ohh I had a blast..did you?? well lets say farwell to the wise tiger..and I say farwell to you too darling..Im exhausted from our long journey today..I wish you well..and till we met again..Good Bye!! and tell me if you liked our little adventure..or if you find a deeper meaing in this story..like getting lost and relizing the magic is right infront of you..you just have to find your way back!!

Hello lovely's (I just reminded myself of the villains from a cartoon..::evil laugh:: "Hello my lovely's wont you come in and have something to eat..::evil laugh::) haha you know what I mean?? like the story of "Hansel and Gretel" with the evil woman...but anyways back on subject..so today we celebrated the 4th of July and gave thanks to the soldiers who are fighting for our freedom out there..especially my cousins..so we said a little prayer for them and dug into the delicious food..we had BBQ chicken and ribs..with potato salad and fresh baked bread..ohh my, it was soo good..(but I didn't have my camera at the time so I could not take pictures of this spectacular feast) but I did sneak a picture of the wonderful dessert (a local supermarket provided..hehe)
ohh someone took a bite..(strawberries, blueberries, and tons of icing..ohh my)

well after all that food, and company..my feet were so wore out (high heels all day, what a dummy I was) and....

then I had a big tummy ache from ALL that food..its unbelievable how much food was made..so I took off those killer shoes...

and asked my dear sweet teddy bear to rub my throbbing feet..(her name is Darleen, and a self proclaimed sexy little bear)hehe

after begging and pleading with Darleen to please rub my feet I finally decided it was a losing battle..so I made my self some tea to settle my stomach...(vanilla tea)

mmmhhh...good tea

and now Im writing you my dear blogging friends (that's you) and relaxing before we go out tonight and watch fireworks..

ohh but before I forget..I bought this darling little purse yesterday that I have been wanting since last year..

just looking at it brightens up my day (it reminds me of the sun) ohh but look at the details..I love the little flowers

isn't it just the cutest thing??haha

but I bought it because me and my mom were stuck out in downtown yesterday because we had tornado warning all around us (again), and we actually watched a funnel start forming and then it went back into the clouds, then started coming down again, and then back up..it was so freaky..but we ran inside a huge store and just shopped until the storm went over..haha but then when we tried to get back home the interstate was at a complete stop (im guessing a wreck) so we decided to go to the movies and watch Wall-E...honestly its the most eye opening movie ever..not to mention the cutest movie too..but honestly it makes you realize how much we need to change our bad habits to help our planet..so definitely go see this movie if you have not yet..well Im off to take a nap ::ZZZzzz::..have a wonderful day..and be safe with fire works..:)

First off, I want to thank EVERYONE who visited my tea party and left comments...it was so much fun to visit every one's beautiful blogs and see the magical pictures..and thank you very much to Vanessa..it was soo wonderful!! but I also wanted to acknowledge that is July 1st and also Canada day!! so lets celebrate..(I'm not Canadian, but I am french, and Canada has ALOT of french..so that's my excuse on why I'm celebrating..haha) I just needed to find an excuse to have a party!!

(all the photos I found on Google) I did not have time to bake today, I have been in and out of doctors today..(they thought that I had arethma problems and something else with my heart) but we found good news today, its not my heart..but maybe my esophagus..which is much better than having heart problems at 20 years old..don't you agree??

Today has been an incredibly busy day...well lets start with last night, we had a horrible electric storm and the Internet went out..I was sooo upset, because I could not put the pictures up, and show the tea party that took place with my mommy and me..but now I'm at my darling's place and writing this blog to show all you lovely people how much fun it was to make the pretty mask and then to have a fanciful tea party..hehe
so I finished the crazy colors (that I just love) and I still could not think of what else to put on the mask the make it even more beautiful..I was stuck, and just trapped in my head, wondering, pondering, and getting frustrated at that point...when Darci decided to jump in and help..and I gladly accepted..
OHH MY!! I forgot to introduce everybody..Everybody, this is Darci, and Darci, this is the lovely people I talk so much about...

so me and Darci went to work on my mask, and at that moment I snuck into mommys office, and to my delight, she was making a mask too..YAY!!!

and I was sooo amazed, my mask was taking me 2 days to complete, and mommy completed hers in like 10 mins..AMAZING!!! even Darci was so surprised, at the talent my mommy had..hehe (this was the first pic of her mask, after 3 mins of playing with it)then she started adding more sparkles and glitz and ribbon..ohh my, it was just like a tornado in the room, things flying everywhere and then...FEATHERS!!! YAY FOR FEATHERS!! (can you believe it only took her like 10 mins to come up with all of this???and then the finished project of hers...its so glamorous..don't ya think??so this is my Mommy's mask completed..doesn't just look fabulous??

AAHH..enjoying this wonderful tea party!! thank you Vanessa, you are wonderful!! would you like some more tea?? I know, its just divine..don't I look sooo happy?? well let me tell you a little secret..(I'm absolutely exhausted at this point..I mean, all the food, and tea, and dancing, and chatting..a girl can only party so much..;P)

well after the party was over, I was sad to say good bye, but I wiped the frown off, and I nearly cried..well Darci saw me, and cheered me up..she put down my favorite book and gave me her tea cup..aww, darling, you truly are so sweet..

well I'm sorry to say, but I'm all pooped out..time for a nice hot bath, maybe a foot rub..;p and then off I go to read my favorite book..I hope everyone enjoyed the party, I know I did..and thank you Vanessa Valencia...your the best!!

well hello again darling...so yesterday was insane, the weather was horrible. I was alone at my house when this horrible looking cloud all of a sudden appeared over my home, and made it look like it was midnight outside (it was 3pm) and then the wind kicked in (news said winds reached 60mph) and hail started coming down..well I started panicking because I kept hearing a low whistling sound and so I grabbed some lanterns and my phone and sat in the hallway..I was on the verge of tears, i really don't think I have ever been so frightened by weather before..but thank god, thank god, thank god..no tornado's touched down..so after an hour of sitting in the hallway in the dark, the clouds started to part and the sun came out...it was all of a sudden beautiful outside..so after that I decided to get my mind back to normal and calm down, and started on my mask for the tea party...

I was bored (Yawn) waiting for all the paint and glitter to dry, so I painted a little picture for my darling hunny..(and I also just wanted to use more of my glitter on something..hehe)
the above picture is one I have painted while I was letting the mask dry so I can put those eyelashes on it..so I painted a heart picture just to have fun with glitter..haha I will post the completion of it..but later..

Well hello everyone..This is my first blog, and honestly I have never done anything like this before, so please forgive me if Im not good in this "Bloglandia" thing (I hope I spelled that right)..but a little about whats been going on lately..I am "attending" a tea party that (my favorite blogger) Vanessa Valencia is throwing http://www.afancifultwist.typepad.com/ ..and Im sooo excite about it!!! My mom and I have been buying all the material to make our own mask and maybe even some mad hatter hats..and getting all the tea cups (that we have NEVER used before) ready for the party..in other words, were having a blast trying to get ready for this little party!!!Besides that my mommy and I just came back from the eye doctor (I haven't been since I was around 13 years old..so I was kinda freaking out, thinking they were gonna poke my eyes around and all that stuff that makes me squeamish..but to my surprise it really was not that bad during the check up. After the check up was the bad part, both my mom and I could barely see so we went to World Market to just chill out a little bit so our pupils would go back to normal..HAHA it was so funny to see the reaction of people when they would look at us, we looked like we were on acid..our pupils were HUGE!!! so it was a very interesting trip, but now Im home and its pouring down rain outside, and my sight is almost completely normal now..so YAY for that!!
